PicABooth Studio has just released a brand new 180 Matrix Booth in Singapore that is creating quite a stir. This revolutionary spin on the classic photobooth experience is getting people lined up to have the opportunity for a uniquely photographed memory.
How the 180 Matrix Booth Works
The 180 Matrix Mooth creates Matrix-like effects that are like a freeze-frame capture of the infamous “bullet-time” effect popularized by the film 20 years ago.
The stunning results are created by a rather simple process. Participants in the photo get set up in front of a backdrop, either branded or otherwise. A photographer is able to help them position themselves and pose in a way which maximizes the Matrix-life effects possible with this photo booth.
The photo-taking process itself involves place an array of cameras in a straight line, all pointed at the object of focus. Then, every camera takes a photo simultaneously, creating a 3D time freeze effect.
Guests at the event where you have set up your camera array can perform actions such as jumping up or throwing confetti up and look at themselves through the lens, being frozen in time. Besides the freeze frame capture of the action shot, there is also a side-to-side panning motion which results of mindblowing 3D results that are visual eye candy and ideal for brand activation or private events.
What is even more extraordinary is the ability to turn any photo taken with the 180 Matrix Booth into a shareable GIF or MP4 showing a 180-degree rotation of the object photographed, giving an entire new dimension of perspective on the time freeze.
The 9 to 12 cameras within the array are the reason why these 180-degree time freeze photos look so captivating and stunning. Being able to synchronize all cameras creates an extrordinary end result that is a mesmerizing way to take photos at events and trade shows.
Besides taking digital 3D time freeze photos, the 180 Matrix Booth also features a live sharing and printing station. Guests partaking in the photobooth experience have the opportunity to receive prints of their experience in the time freeze, as well as share their unique photos on social media. This is an opportunity to organically promote PicABooth’s 180 Matrix Booth, since the results speak for themselves.
